Who We Are

St John Ambulance Nigeria is a leading humanitarian and first aid charity, dedicated to saving lives and promoting health and safety across Nigeria. As part of the global St John Ambulance movement, we are committed to providing first aid training, emergency medical services, and community health outreach to people of all backgrounds, regardless of race, religion, or status.

Our History

St John Ambulance traces its origins to the Order of St John, a centuries-old international humanitarian organization founded in Jerusalem in the 11th century. The modern St John Ambulance movement began in England in 1877, with the aim of teaching first aid to the public.

St John Ambulance Nigeria was established in 1957, becoming a vital part of the nation's emergency response and health education landscape. Over the decades, we have trained thousands of Nigerians in first aid, supported public health initiatives, and provided volunteer medical services at major events and emergencies.
